Alexis L. Farmer

Alexis Farmer, a proud Jackson, Mississippi native, holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of Mississippi. She further distinguished herself academically by earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law and was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 2011.

Alexis has devoted her legal career to advocating for clients in matters involving the Internal Revenue Service, state and local tax agencies, debt relief, and litigation. Her expertise is rooted in experience gained as an attorney with the Mississippi Department of Revenue and as a Tax Accuracy Analyst for Intuit, Inc., a Fortune 500 company. Through her work, Alexis has become a trusted resource, delivering legal education and training on economic wellness to both individuals and fellow attorneys across Mississippi.

In her role as Director and Managing Attorney of Mississippi’s only Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, Alexis has worked tirelessly to expand access to justice for underserved communities. Her commitment to pro bono representation and impactful advocacy earned her recognition as the inaugural Magnolia Bar Association Spotlight winner. She has also been repeatedly named one of Jackson’s top tax attorneys by The Jackson Free Press.

Alexis’s dedication to her profession is matched by her passion for Mississippi’s rich cultural heritage. In her free time, she enjoys supporting local artists, craftspeople, and chefs, celebrating the vibrant creativity of the Southern community she calls home.
